Job summary

The Archdiocese of Chicago is seeking an Operations Director who is a practicing Catholic to lead parish financial, human and physical resources in cooperation with the Pastor and Principal.

This role oversees budgets, internal controls, school finances, facilities, HR, IT, communications, and project management, partnering with Vicariate operations to improve performance.

Candidates should have accounting/finance background, experience with not-for-profit or church management preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
• Experience in Accounting, Finance, or related business practices.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience in Human Resources practices, including leadership and hiring.
• Must be Catholic and support Catholic Church teachings.

Responsibilities

• Lead parish budgets, financial statements, and internal controls.
• Oversee school finances, tuition, and financial aid processes.
• Manage buildings, facilities, and vendor relationships.
• Direct HR, payroll, IT, communications, and records management.
