Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio is seeking a dedicated teacher to guide, inspire, and educate students in a Christ-centered environment. The Teacher is to be immediately responsible to the principal for policies of the school and Archdiocese as they relate to the classroom and student contact.

Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, reflecting TEA guidelines, utilizing technology, communicating with parents, supervising aides, and upholding safety and confidentiality in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12 credit hours in education courses or a valid state certificate.
• Technology proficiency: word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet use.
• Demonstrated competency in the subject area(s).
• Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements and background screening.
• Must pass Texas DPS fingerprint-based applicant clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
• Prepare lessons accommodating different learning styles.
• Present material per Texas TEA and Archdiocese guidelines.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials reflecting student needs.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with staff to set instructional goals and supervise aides/volunteers.
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, and staff.
• Participate in staff development and comply with policy updates.
