Job summary

St. Pius X Catholic School in San Antonio seeks a full-time or part-time Interventionist teacher to support student learning in a faith-centered environment.

The teacher will implement evidence-based strategies, tailor instruction to diverse learners, and collaborate with parents and staff to uphold school policies and the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

A bachelor’s degree and teaching credentials are required; proficiency with basic technology and a commitment to Catholic education are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 12 credit hours in education courses or a valid state certificate
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and Internet for educational purposes
• Demonstrated competency in subject area and Safe Environment compliance

Responsibilities

• Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
• Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling Catholic teachings
• Adheres to school/Archdiocese policies including Religious Standards for Catholic School Employees
• Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
• Follows safety training and protocols daily
• Protects confidential information and materials
• Abides by Code of Conduct and Faith and Moral Policy
• Collaborates with staff to achieve instructional goals and assigns teacher aides/volunteers
