Job summary

Music Ministry International seeks a part-time Catholic Religious Education (CRE) Coordinator as a 1099 contractor to support Maxwell AFB Catholic community. The role requires coordinating CRE programs, volunteers, curriculum, and events under Chaplain Corps guidelines.

The coordinator will manage scheduling, facility use, publicity, and reporting, ensuring compliance with background checks and archdiocesan requirements. Fluent English and strong coordination with Chaplain are essential.

Qualifications

• Must pass Criminal History Background Check and IRC per DoD/DAFI guidance.
• Must adhere to endorsing religious organization requirements and DoD Air Force policy.
• Experience coordinating volunteers and CRE activities.
• Fluent English communication required.
• Current letter of good standing from AMS verifying Catholic education approval.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CRE programs, sacraments, formation classes, and Bible studies.
• Recruit, train, and manage CRE volunteers; ensure proper badges and background checks.
• Develop CRE curriculum with Chaplain; procure approved materials.
• Prepare lesson plans and coordinate with Chaplain and volunteers.
• Plan, budget, and calendar CRE activities; report to PAC and Chaplain.
• Publicize CRE events and maintain facilities and publicity materials.
• Prepare after-action reports within 14 days of events.
