Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is seeking a Cath Lab Tech to support diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the lab. You will operate key lab equipment, adhere to radiation safety, and help ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnoses.
The role requires a radiology technology program graduate and at least one year of interventional radiology experience, with certifications (RCIS/RTR) and ACLS/BLS readiness as specifyable on hire.
As our Cath Lab Tech, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.
Every day you’ll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.
