Job summary

CHI is seeking a Cath Lab Tech to deliver excellent patient care through diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cath lab. The ideal candidate will operate various equipment, demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques, and ensure patient safety through good radiation safety practices.

Required qualifications include a graduate of a Radiology Technology Program, BLS, ACLS certifications, and relevant experience. This role is critical in ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in Interventional radiology.

Job description

Overview

As our Cath Lab Tech, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet.
• Demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Utilize good radiation safety practices.
• Make a positive impact on internal and external customers.
• Understand the importance of diagnostic imaging, including general imaging workflow, patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of Radiology Technology Program upon hire
• One (1) year of experience in Interventional radiology
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) – N/A upon hire or
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR) – N/A upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) – Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required

Pay Range

$37.40 - $55.63 /hour
