GENERAL SUMMARY: As a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II, you'll play a vital role in delivering cutting-edge cardiac care by supporting invasive diagnostic testing and life-changing interventional procedures. Working within our Cardiac Catheter, CTO, and Structural Heart procedure rooms, you'll be at the forefront of detecting and treating heart and circulatory conditions. This position demands expertise across multiple critical functions—Monitoring, Circulating, and Scrubbing—where your technical precision and clinical knowledge directly impact patient outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Expertly assist physicians in performing advanced invasive cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures with precision and professionalism
- Master multiple procedural roles—seamlessly transitioning between monitoring vital systems, circulating supplies and equipment, and scrubbing as a sterile team member
- Maintain vigilant patient monitoring throughout procedures, ensuring optimal safety and clinical outcomes
- Prepare and manage specialized cardiac catheterization equipment and instrumentation with meticulous attention to detail
- Uphold the highest standards of sterile technique and infection control protocols in the procedure room
- Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient care
- Stay current with evolving cardiac technologies and procedural best practices through continuous professional development

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Sciences program such as Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, Cardiac Sonography, or Vascular Sonography (or equivalent academic program and professional experience)
Certifications & Licensures:
- Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification OR Radiology Technologist (ARRT) certification with Cardiac Interventional (CI) or Vascular Interventional (VI) credentials
- Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required at time of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six (6) months of hire
Core Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in cardiac catheterization equipment operation and specialized instrumentation management
- Demonstrated expertise in sterile technique and infection control protocols
- Strong clinical knowledge of invasive cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Exceptional ability to multitask across monitoring, circulating, and scrubbing functions
