Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking a Cardiovascular Lab Technologist to provide direct care for adults and geriatric patients in diagnostic and interventional procedures within the cath lab.

The role involves scrub assistance or monitor tech duties, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality cardiovascular care. The position requires cath lab or invasive radiology experience, Louisiana licensure or equivalent, and a current ILCOR BLS certification with a manikin check-off.

Qualifications

• Six months of cath lab experience or 1 year of invasive radiology experience.
• Louisiana State Radiology Licensure or CCI-RCIS.
• Current BLS certification through ILCOR with manikin check-off.
• Able to work flexible hours and be on-call with 30-minute response time.
• Basic understanding of budgetary controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care of adults and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic/interventional procedures as scrub assistant or monitor tech.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within Cardiovascular Services to promote excellence in cardiovascular care.
• Maintain 24-hour cath lab availability with on-call rotation and 30-minute response time.
