Job summary

Scotland Health Care System in Laurinburg, NC seeks a Cath Lab Technologist to support physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures. The role requires sterile technique, imaging expertise, and patient care throughout the procedural continuum.

The candidate should hold NBRC RRT or RCIS, with an accredited Radiology Technology/paramedic/cardiovascular program background, and BLS/ACLS (PALS if pediatric patients are involved). Experience in cardiac/IR labs is preferred.

Qualifications

• RRT credential from NBRC or RCIS (cardiac invasive)
• Accredited program in Radiology Technology, Paramedic, cardiovascular technology or related field
• BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS if pediatric patients involved
• Experience in cardiac cath lab, IR lab, or similar procedural environment
• Proficiency in sterile technique, imaging modalities, and emergency response

Responsibilities

• Pre-Procedure: assess baseline data, educate patients, prepare imaging access and sterile field
• Intra-Procedure: assist physicians with arterial/venous access, manipulate guidewires/catheters, operate imaging equipment, monitor hemodynamics
• Post-Procedure: manage vascular access sites, monitor recovery, document in EMR
