White Rock Medical Center is seeking a compassionate RCIS/Cath Lab professional to join our patient‑focused team. The role involves assisting in invasive cardiac/vascular procedures, scrubbing and equipment operation within the Cath Lab, while maintaining high standards of sterile technique and radiation safety.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience and graduation from an accredited RT or RCIS program, with ARRT/RCIS certification and current BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited RT or RCIS program.
• ARRT or RCIS required; BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates high degree of skill in radiography procedures with radiation safety practices.
• Operates radiology and support equipment and assists in Cath Lab procedures.
• Prepares procedure room, patient, sterile field, supplies and equipment.
• Assists in fluoroscopic guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Cardiac Cath and EP room.

Job Summary

The RCIS Tech functions independently within a broad scope of established hospital and departmental policies and goals in rendering physical and supportive care and health teaching to adult and geriatric patients. Applies knowledge of growth and development to perform detailed assignments/interventions. Provides consistent care based on the changing physical and psychosocial needs, unique to the patient. Provides assistance to the physician and other staff during procedures by scrubbing, panning, operating x-ray equipment, or documenting procedure records while providing high-quality invasive cardiac/vascular procedures.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrates high degree of skill and knowledge related to radiography procedures incorporating radiation safety practices as appropriate.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform various technical and professional duties as specifically related to the Cath Lab.
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of sterile technique and procedure.
• Operates various radiology and support equipment. Assist with the care of the patient within scope of licensure. Assist with procedural documentation.
• Prepares procedure room, the patient, sterile field, supplies, equipment and all materials needed to perform the procedure.
• Assists in advanced fluoroscopic guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Cardiac Cath and EP room setting.
