Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Cath Lab Tech to join our Imaging Team. You will support X-ray, CT, and MRI workflows, ensuring safe, accurate imaging and compassionate patient care in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes patient safety, plan-of-care development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ongoing education to enhance outcomes. Full-time daytime schedule with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ARRT registration in North Carolina required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within specified timelines.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care in a setting that prioritizes patient safety.
• Develops and revises a care plan based on patient response.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team and family.
• Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support.
• Educates patient/family based on age and culture.
• Advocates for patient rights and well-being.

How you’ll contribute

A Cath Lab Tech who excels in this role:

• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
• Formulates an individualized plan of care, revises the plan as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment, and evaluates the overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient, protecting the patient’s rights.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED, and be ARRT registered in the state of North Carolina. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
