Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to join the cardiovascular lab team.

Under physician supervision, you will scrub procedures or monitor physiologic data, ensure the room is prepared, and assist in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. The role requires ARRT-R license or state credential, CV lab experience preferred, BCLS, ACLS within 30 days, and proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R license or state credential required.
• Previous experience in Cardiovascular Lab preferred.
• Cardiovascular technologist training with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and current.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience1. ARRT-R and license as required by State or Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required. 2. Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred. 3. Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.4. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current. 5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire. 6. Proficient computer skills.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
