Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Cath Lab Tech to support physicians during invasive cardiac procedures. The role demands thorough knowledge of Cath Lab equipment and the ability to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular care throughout procedures.

Ideal candidates are graduates of RN, RCIS, or RCES programs with Georgia licensure, BCLS and ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience.

Qualifications

• RN, RCIS, or RCES program graduates required.
• Georgia State Licensure and/or multi-state licensure required on hire.
• BCLS and ACLS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in invasive cardiac procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of Cath Lab equipment and perform maintenance as needed.
• Provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during procedures.

Assists the physician in the performance of invasive cardiac procedures. Has thorough knowledge of all Cath Lab Equipment and maintenance of it and administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.

Education

• Graduate from a nursing program a Registered Nurse (RN) program Required or
• Graduate of a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) program Required or
• Graduate of a Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) program Required

Work Experience

• 2 years Cath Lab Tech Experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• Based on type of program completed, one of the follow is required. Upon Hire Required
• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Upon Hire Required or
• RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Upon Hire Required or
• RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
