Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision. The role includes scrub and circulator duties, monitoring, and equipment operation within the cath lab.

The position requires an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or healthcare, RCIS within six months, ARRT/TX RT(R) credentials or RCIS substitute, and an AHA ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in science or healthcare-related field.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• RCIS certification to be obtained within six months of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) credentials may substitute RCIS.
• Licenses and/or Certifications as required and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assist physician as monitor tech during cath lab procedures and interpret basic/advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs.
• Operate physiologic recorder and interpret pressures and waveforms under physician direction.
• Assist with procedures as scrub tech and operate imaging equipment under physician guidance.
• Perform circulator duties: monitor patient status, hand supplies, operate imaging equipment.
• Transport patients to/from the department and maintain cath lab sterility.
• Manage medications knowledge and dosage as applicable.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory for cath lab.
• Post-procedure safety, remove sheaths, monitor hemostasis and patient status.
