Brookwood Baptist Health is seeking an invasive cardiovascular imaging tech to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will work under supervision, prepare patients, manage imaging equipment, and assist physicians during procedures in a fast-paced cardiovascular lab.

Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, documenting histories, and maintaining high image quality while following regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• CVT—RCIS or RCES certification.
• RRT or CRT from an accredited respiratory therapy education program.
• R.T.(R): Completion of an accredited radiography program.
• Paramedic—NREMT-P: Completion of an accredited paramedic education program.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. PALS may be required depending on unit specific needs.
• CVT—RCIS or RCES certification must be obtained within 6 months for newly hired CVT; RCIS/RCES must be achieved
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NBRC licensed.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – NBRC licensed.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)) – ARRT licensed.
• Paramedic—NREMT-P certification and RCIS within 18 months.

Aufgaben

• Works under the supervision of a preceptor and/or charge person during orientation.
• Delivers appropriate care and ensures successful completion of procedures and protocols.
• Assesses patient condition and age-specific needs.
• Ensures patient education on procedures, safety, and comfort.
• Collects patient history and documents information accurately.
• Positions patient and equipment to obtain high-quality images for interpretation.
• Assesses image quality and proper patient identification.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure when applicable.
• Monitors physiological parameters during procedures.
• Supports the physician as a scrub assistant for cardiovascular procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique.
• Assesses hemostasis and manages vessel status post-procedure.
• Troubleshoots equipment and serves as a training resource.
• Maintains inventory and workspace organization.
• Ensures timely case turnover and adheres to department standards.
