Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a Cath Lab Interventional Radiology Technician I to support cardiovascular imaging procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings. The role requires meticulous hemodynamic monitoring, documentation, and equipment handling in a high-demand environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with cardiac catheterization, preparing equipment, monitoring intra-cardiac signals, and maintaining sterile conditions while ensuring patient safety and high quality care.

Qualifications

• 2 year/Associate degree from an accredited Radiology Technologist program.
• ARRT certification within 180 days from date of hire.
• New York State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist within 180 days from date of hire.
• NYS Temporary Permit required.
• ACLS required within 6 months from date of hire.
• Experience in invasive radiology / interventional procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation, preparation and aftercare of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization or interventional procedures.
• Prepare and handle equipment used during CVI procedures.
• Monitor and document intra-cardiac pressures and ECG signals during procedures.
• Maintain sterile work area and set up sterile work tables for procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Provide leadership and precept new staff; participate in quality improvement.
