Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking a dedicated professional to provide direct patient care in the cath lab, serving as either scrub assistant or monitor tech for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.

The role supports the Cardiovascular Service line in delivering high-quality care for adult and geriatric patients, including cardiac, peripheral vascular, and pacemaker procedures. On-call availability is required to meet unit standards.

Qualifications

• 6 months cath lab experience or 1 year of invasive radiology experience.
• Must hold a valid Louisiana Radiologic Technologist license or be a trained Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist with Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
• Current BLS certification through ILCOR accredited courses (e.g., AHA, Red Cross).
• ILCOR course must include a manikin check-off.

Responsibilities

• Direct care of adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures as scrub assistant or monitor tech.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the Cardiovascular Service line to promote excellence in cardiovascular care.
• Support procedures such as diagnostic/interventional cardiac, peripheral vascular, and pacemaker implantation.
