Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as Cardiac Invasive Technologist preferred, with focus on diagnostic, cardiac, and peripheral interventional procedures.
• RCIS certification preferred; BLS certification required and ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures and ensure patient safety throughout.
• Monitor and report clinical changes in patient condition to the RN or physician.
• Perform point of care testing in accordance with CLIA guidelines as needed.
• Accurately document all procedures, including labeling and entering charges into the medical record.
• Maintain high standards of sterile procedures and infection prevention.
• Prepare the work area before and after procedures, ensuring all supplies are replenished and equipment is functional.

Cardiac Invasive Technologist - Cath Lab

Schedule

This position offers 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with varied schedules needed, including two Fridays per month. It also requires one 24-hour weekend call day every month and three weeknight call shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM per month.

Job Description

The Cardiac Invasive Technologist will assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This role demands expertise in scrubbing in for diagnostic, cardiac interventional, and peripheral procedures, as well as providing care for adult and geriatric patients during these procedures. The technologist prepares patients for examinations and will function in various roles including case recorder, cardiac circulator, and scrub assistant.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Demonstrated expertise in cardiovascular technical skills, including knowledge of catheters, wires, stents, and supplies.
• Ability to take STEMI on-call as needed.
• Exemplary standards of performance including ownership, teamwork, communication, and compassion.
