Job summary

Brookwood Baptist Health is hiring Cath Lab Techs to join our cardiovascular team. The tech performs diagnostic imaging and supports procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and intervention.

With five hospitals to choose from and day‑one benefits, we match you to a location and team that fit your experience and goals. Requires 2 years' Cardiac Cath Lab experience and RCIS within 24 months of hire, with BLS/ACLS current.

Qualifications

• Two years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• RCIS certification to be obtained within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Works under supervision during orientation.
• Delivers appropriate care and ensures successful completion of procedures and protocols.
• Assesses patient condition and age-specific needs.
• Ensures patient education on procedures, safety and comfort.
• Documents patient history and demographics accurately.
• Positions patient and equipment to obtain high quality images.
• Assesses image quality and correct patient identification.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Provides monitoring during diagnostic/interventional procedures.
• Supports Physician as scrub assistant during cardiovascular procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and monitors hemostasis.
• Locates and troubleshoots complex equipment; trains staff.
