Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN PRN to provide patient-centered nursing care in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to ensure high-quality care and positive patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes safety, education for patients and families, and adherence to infection control standards in a busy hospital environment in Longview, Texas.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required; 1 year preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse licensure required or Compact State licensure.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational policies and nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings, reporting changes to care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within scope of competency.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control protocols and ensures patient safety.
