Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing and one year RN experience required.
• Competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or equivalent experience.
• Licensed RN in TX at hire.
• BLS CPR within 14 days and ACLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and provide nursing care meeting physical, psychological and spiritual needs.
• Design, direct, evaluate and document the plan of care including discharge planning and family teaching; coordinate with the care team.
• Prepare patients for treatments and procedures; report changes to physician and adhere to safety protocols.
• Reassess patients after interventions and adjust care; relay information during shift handoffs.
