Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center is a 124-bed acute care hospital located in Sparks, Nevada. The hospital seeks a per diem Pre/Post Cath Lab Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the cardiovascular lab and to support admission, recovery, and discharge processes.

The role requires effective communication with physicians and the care team. Applicants must hold a Nevada RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications and have telemetry experience; cath lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NV nursing license
• Current BLS certificate
• ACLS certificate
• 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Cath Lab experience preferred
• One year full time or three years part time experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Current POC certification within 6 months of hire
• Willing to take call/standby in the Cardiovascular lab as needed

Responsibilities

• Admitting, recovering and discharging patients from the Cardiovascular Lab
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with health team members and adjust nursing care as indicated
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles to provide age-appropriate care
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and post-procedure assessments per policy
