Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Cath Lab in California. The role focuses on patient safety, aseptic technique, and cath lab procedures across pacemaker, vascular and cardiac cases. Requires at least 5 years in cath lab or related critical care, state RN licensure, and English fluency. ACLS preferred with 90 days to obtain.

The RN will support CVL teams, document care, manage pre/post-op care, and ensure readiness of the lab for procedures. Competitive compensation offered.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse with Current State Licensure, Current BLS required. ACLS preferred, must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of continuous cath lab, ED, or PACU experience. Critical care experience preferred.
• Working Knowledge: Able to monitor, scrub, and/or circulate on cath lab procedures including pacemaker, vascular, cardiac, IR and pain management.
• Interpersonal Skills: Fluent in English, able to communicate with patients, families, staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to ensure patient safety.
• Directs and assists in safe aseptic techniques and procedures.
• Performs as CVL circulator and recovery RN.
• Prepares Cath Lab for the patient and procedure.
• Transports patient to Cath lab and reviews pre-op records.
• Verifies proper surgical prep.
• Documents CVL records and patient charts.
• Ensures proper positioning and counts of sponges, needles and instruments.
• Secures emergency equipment and supplies as needed.
• Supports teammates, physicians and patient families.
