Job summary

SCA Health in California is recruiting a Registered Nurse (RN) Cath Lab to deliver safe patient care, support sterile techniques, and assist in cath lab procedures. You will handle pre-op prep, patient transport, documentation, and collaborate closely with physicians and families.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree, current RN license, and BLS; ACLS is preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure and BLS; ACLS preferred, must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of 5 years of continuous catheterization lab, ED, or PACU experience.
• Ability to monitor, scrub, and circulate on cath lab procedures; EKG interpretation skills.
• Fluent English with strong communication to patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to ensure patient safety.
• Directs and assists in aseptic and sterile techniques and procedures.
• Performs as a CVL circulator and recovery RN.
• Prepares Cath Lab room for patient and procedure.
• Assists in transporting patient to Cath Lab and verifies pre-op readiness.
• Verifies surgical prep is completed and documents CVL records.
• Ensures proper patient positioning and performs counts of sponges, needles and instruments.
• Secures emergency equipment and assists teammates, physicians, and families as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned and communicates clearly.
