Responsibilities

• Restores and promotes patient health by completing the nursing process (assessment, data analysis, goals, interventions, evaluation).
• Collaborates with physicians/providers and multidisciplinary team members.
• Identifies patient care needs and provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Identifies education needs and utilizes resources to meet them.
• Administers medications and treatments per state-authorized prescribers; adheres to standards and safety protocols.
• Adheres to infection-control policies; manages medication storage and controlled substances.
• Documents patient care services timely and accurately.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and supports DRH safety culture.
• Delegates tasks safely within scope of practice and education; ensures equipment maintenance and safety.
• Maintains professional knowledge through continuing education and inter-professional teamwork.
• Adapts assessment and care methods to meet diverse patient needs; ensures punctuality and safety.
