Job summary

Prime Healthcare’s Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Cardiology department. The schedule runs 7:00am–5:00pm, with direct patient care for adult and geriatric populations in the cardiovascular lab.

Applicants should hold a BSN, an active RN license, BCLS, and ACLS certification on hire; minimum one year CV lab or CCU experience. This role involves collaboration with physicians, equipment management, and participation in quality improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
• Active state RN License; required.
• Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations.
• Addresses psychosocial, physical and general care aspects in the surgical environment.
• Communicates with physician about patient condition.
• Assists with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
• Assesses room and equipment functioning and readiness.
• Obtains supplies for cases and ensures CV Lab needs are met.
• Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Monitors and records patient condition in the Cardiovascular lab.
• Participates in performance and quality improvement activities.

Education

Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Active state RN License

Current BCLS (AHA)

ACLS certificate upon hire
