Job summary

Highmark Health in the Pittsburgh area is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. You will provide nursing care during cardiac catheterization procedures, monitor hemodynamics, manage medications, and help maintain sterile technique.

The role requires PA licensure or eNLC, BLS/ACLS, and preference for RCIS; you will document procedures, participate in quality assurance, and support cross-training across related labs.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Preferred RCIS certification.
• Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 background clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing Cardiac Cath Lab and related procedures.
• Prepare patients, obtain informed consent, verify allergies and medical history.
• Administer moderate sedation and vasoactive medications as directed by a physician.
• Maintain sterile field and assist physicians during procedures.
• Document regulatory, billing, and image storage records; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Cross-train in related areas as needed.
