Prime Healthcare is seeking a Cath Lab Nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. This full-time role covers day shifts with on-call options, focusing on safety and efficiency of cardiac catheterization procedures.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (preferred) with an active RN license, BCLS and ACLS. A minimum of one year in a cardiovascular lab or critical care setting is required, with comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred, active RN license required.
• BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certification required or obtained on hire.
• Minimum 1 year cardiovascular lab or critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations.
• Communicate with physician continuously about patient condition.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Obtain supplies for cases and ensure lab needs are met.
• Monitor physiologic data during procedures.
• Observe and record patient conditions in the laboratory.

A Cath Lab Nurse is essential in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of cardiac catheterization procedures, contributing significantly to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases specifically with the cardiac catheterization lab.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial,physicaland general aspects of care related to the surgical environment

• Communicate with physician continuously and as neededaboutpatient condition.

• Assistswith the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness

• Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensures allappropriate needsof the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met

• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab

• Observe and record patient’s condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred

• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.

• Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.

• One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
