Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center, part of Methodist Health System, is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab. You will assist physicians, monitor patient status, operate imaging systems, and help with sterile technique throughout complex procedures.

Requirements include an associate or bachelor’s degree, AHA ACLS, RCIS within six months, or ARRT TX RT(R) in lieu. This is a full-time position in a dynamic, teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree with science emphasis or healthcare experience.
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• RCIS certification to be obtained within six months of date of hire; ARRT TX RT(R) acceptable in lieu.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision.
• Assist physician as monitor tech, interpret dysrhythmia and EKGs, operate physiologic recorder.
• Act as scrub tech and operate imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assist with circulator duties, monitor patient status during procedures, hand supplies.
• Transport patients to/from department and maintain cath lab readiness.
• Stock and clean cath lab, manage supplies and inventory; maintain sterile technique.
