Job summary

Houston Methodist in Houston, TX is seeking a Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist I to perform cardiovascular procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The role assists physicians with interventional and electrophysiology procedures, including angioplasty, stents, and ablations, while scrubbing into cases and controlling radiation. Availability to be on-call is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below
• One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist with Interventional experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs interventional and therapeutic cardiac or electrophysiology procedures including peripheral and coronary angioplasty, stents, rotablators, atherectomy, laser, and coronary ultrasound; electrophysiology procedures including ablations and device implantation.
• Actively participates and scrubs into Cath Lab cases to assist with movement and alignment of equipment and control of radiation throughout procedures.
• Provides care for the physical needs of patients by executing Radiologic concepts to maximize imaging performance, including positioning, preparation, and technical factors; modifies factors to achieve desired results and recognizes complications.
• Provides direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic or special procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.
