Qualifications

ACLS within 1 year (AHA)
Registered in Radiography (ARRT)
BLS within 30 days (AHA)
Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (IEMA)
Education: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology

Responsibilities

Administers contrast material per physician's request and manages reactions
Anticipates setup and supplies for invasive procedures
Assists with inventory and supplies
Verifies patient identity and chart accuracy
Compiles clinical information for labs and pathology
Administers medications per scope of practice
Documents accurately and completely
Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort and safety
Performs essential functions of Invasive Lab Radiologic Technologist
Works on-call and/or variable shifts as needed
Floats to procedural areas as required
Maintains sterile field during procedures
Assesses allergies and patient conditions
Acts as scrub/monitor during procedures
Assists physician during interventional procedures
Can take call after orientation
