Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Cardiovascular Tech (CVT) for the Electrophysiology Lab to support invasive cardiac procedures. The CVT will collaborate with RNs and physicians, functioning as secondary circulator, scrub tech, and monitor.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited invasive cardiovascular technology program.
• Current RCIS/RCES certification or eligibility with 12 months to obtain.
• BLS and CORE certifications required or to be obtained within specified windows.
• Proficient in English with strong patient communication and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and provide teaching and referrals for continuity of care.
• Assist physicians in care planning with patient/family collaboration.
• Complete documentation to ensure accurate legal records.
• Deliver high-quality care per Cath Lab policies under physician supervision.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and a clean procedure environment.
• Operate and maintain specialized Electrophysiology Lab equipment and imaging systems.
