Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced RN to join the Cath Lab team at Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. The Perianesthesia RN provides specialized nursing care before and after cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN). Location: Alfond Center for Health, Augusta. Schedule: Part-time (30 hours/week). Shift: Days – No weekend/holiday hours. Call rotation required.

Qualifications

• Current Maine RN license or ability to obtain one promptly.
• Cath Lab experience preferred.
• 2+ years of CCU or medical/surgical RN experience preferred.
• Strong assessment and IV skills.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient status.
• Coordinate care across disciplines with transfers and discharges.
• Provide patient education tailored to age and culture.
• Delegate care to ancillary staff.
• May precept students and new hires.
