Job summary

The role balances advanced cardiovascular procedures with staff development, workflow coordination, and quality improvement, reporting to leadership and collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care. Requires 3+ years Cath Lab experience, ARRT or equivalent, BLS/ACLS, and a lead/preceptor background.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic or Cardiovascular Technology (Preferred).
• One of the following required: ARRT, RCIS, CVT, NREMT, AEMT, or CST.
• BLS (Required upon hire).
• ACLS (Required within 6 months).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting (Required).

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties of the Cath Lab Technologist, including scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring procedures.
• Serves as a primary resource for procedural planning and execution, equipment setup, and troubleshooting.
• Leads daily assignments, procedure scheduling, and communication among team members.
• Trains and mentors new and existing staff on clinical competencies, safety, and workflow efficiency.
• Assists leadership in maintaining inventory control, capital equipment maintenance, and vendor coordination.
• Ensures compliance with radiation safety, regulatory standards, infection control, and accreditation requirements.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and data collection.
• Acts as liaison between clinical staff and management, providing feedback and advocating for departmental needs.
• Participates in call rotation and assists in coverage planning to maintain service availability.
