Job summary

MLK Community Hospital is seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab/IR Nurse to provide expert nursing care for patients undergoing cardiology and interventional radiology procedures. The role emphasizes safe, evidence-based practice, patient advocacy, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will hold a California RN license, achieve moderate sedation credential within 30 days, and bring experience in telemetry/critical care with exposure to Cath Lab/IR environments.

Qualifications

• BSN or ASN with Cath Lab/IR experience considered in lieu of degree
• California RN license is required
• BCLS and ACLS certification required
• CRN or CCRN certification preferred
• Adult moderate sedation training within 30 days of hire and renewed every 2 years

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered care in the Cardiac Cath Lab/IR setting.
• Demonstrate nursing process, SBAR communications, and IPOC documentation.
• Maintain hemodynamic stability and monitor patients during and after procedures.
• Assist with intubation and ventilated patients as needed.
• Collaborate with cardiology, radiology, perioperative, and nursing teams to coordinate care.
