Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist in Training at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO. This role supports a clinical team during cardiac catheterization procedures, with supervision by an RN and under a mentor.

You will participate in room prep, post‑procedure turnover, and develop skills in monitoring, physiology, and equipment use, while pursuing career growth within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Current license or certification in state of practice is required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
• ACLS must be completed prior to working on‑call.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in related roles (LPN, RT, EKG, radiology tech).

Responsibilities

• Participate in procedure room preparation and post‑procedure turnover, and inventory control.
• Develop patient assessment and monitoring skills to inform the physician of deviations during the procedure.
• Develop knowledge of cardiopulmonary pathophysiology, pharmacology, anomalies and treatment options.
• Develop knowledge of invasive, diagnostic and interventional supplies and their use.
• Assist as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech according to lab policies and scope of practice.
• Understand x-ray generation, safety, and operation of imaging equipment.
• Make hemodynamic recordings, calculations and interpretations.
• Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Document procedures and events thoroughly and accurately.
• Operate, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment in the cath lab.
