Job summary

Ascension Health in Appleton, WI, seeks a dedicated Cath Lab professional to join the St. Elizabeth facility. The role focuses on evaluating vascular conditions, performing diagnostic procedures, and reporting results while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or an associate/technical degree or 4 years of applicable experience.
• License/certifications required within specified timelines as listed (BLS, ARRT/ARDMS, CCI).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient for presence of vascular disease and select appropriate procedures.
• Perform diagnostic procedures, record results, and report findings.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests and alert physicians of abnormalities.
• Ensure high-quality images and proper patient data are submitted to PACS.
• Maintain a clean, orderly department including rooms, storage, and dressing areas.

Schedule: Full-time days 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday 0700-1530 | on-call call rotation is less than one day per week, every 6th weekend, and one holiday per year

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Evaluate patient for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.

• Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, record patient test results and report results.

• Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.

• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).

• Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One or more of the following required:

• Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. All specialties accepted.

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. All specialties accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• Cath, Angio, EP experience preferred.
