Job summary

Ascension Health in Appleton, WI is seeking a PRN cardiac device programing specialist to oversee device programming, monitoring and reprogramming. You will translate complex data for patients and ensure clear communication with physicians.

You will maintain accurate patient data, contribute to continuity of care, and support clinic operations including inventory and clerical duties. Eligibility includes a BLS certification and a high school diploma with related experience.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, administer, and optimize device programming for cardiac devices and ensure seamless integration, routine monitoring, and reprogramming as needed.
• Translate complex technical data into patient-friendly information and educate patients on procedures while communicating concerns to physicians.
• Maintain precise documentation of all patient data and device reports to support critical clinical decisions.
• Assist with clerical tasks and inventory to help keep the clinic running smoothly.

Education

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Clinical Excellence: Oversee, administer, and optimize device programming. You will handle the seamless integration, routine monitoring, and necessary reprogramming of cardiac devices to ensure optimal patient health.

• Patient Advocacy & Education: Translate complex technical data into comforting, understandable terms for patients. You will educate them on their procedures and ensure their voices are heard by effectively communicating any concerns directly to the physicians.

• Continuity of Care: Maintain precise documentation of all patient data and device reports, ensuring the medical team has the accurate insights they need for critical decision‑making.

• Operational Efficiency: Keep the clinic running smoothly by managing supply inventory and assisting with essential clerical support as needed.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
