Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, Kansas, is seeking a day shift, full-time Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) to join our team and deliver high‑quality patient care.

You will assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures, monitor hemodynamics, ensure equipment reliability, mentor staff, and support a culture of care.

Qualifications

• Current RCIS or ARRT certification.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Experience in cath lab or interventional radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures and monitor hemodynamics.
• Ensure equipment is functioning and troubleshoot to provide quality exams.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cardiovascular technology and hemodynamics.
• Provide quality customer service to patients, families, and coworkers.
• Participate in training and mentoring of employees and students.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist assists physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures and monitors and records hemodynamics.
• Ensures equipment is functioning and troubleshoots equipment to provide quality diagnostic and therapeutic exams.
• Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral technology and hemodynamics to assist the physicians effectively.
• Provides quality customer service to patients, families, and coworkers to create a professional and respectful environment.
• Participates in the training and mentoring of employees and students.

Qualifications

Job Requirements :

• Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiologic Technologist by the ARRT
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 1 year or more of experience working in the cath lab or interventional radiology
