Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and radiologic technology program graduation.
• California Radiologic Technologist Certificate is required.
• Fluoroscopy Certificate (CA), BLS and ACLS required.
• Knowledge of coronary anatomy and cardiac physiology is essential.
• Ability to perform invasive cardiac procedures with aseptic technique.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
• Assists physicians in fluoroscopic and x-ray examinations.
• Records, stores, retrieves, and analyzes data from interventional cardiac and radiologic procedures.
• Monitors ECG rhythm and hemodynamics; communicates with physicians as needed.
• Maintains equipment and conducts quality control; sets up IABP when needed.
• Preceptor role and training of new staff; supports QA programs.
• On-call stand-by coverage for emergent cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Complies with PPE requirements and provides age-appropriate patient care.
• Completes documentation and data entry for exams.
• Assists with admissions and supports team during procedures.
