Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in the CVL lab seeks a qualified Radiologic Technologist to assist with diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures under supervision. You will monitor imaging equipment, manage sterile fields, and support safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, recording hemodynamic data, administering medications under physician oversight, and rapid on-site response for on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum twelve (12) months of cardiac cath lab, EP, Neuro IR, and/or special procedures in the last 3 years.
• Must meet licensure and certification requirements for radiology and cardiovascular interventions.
• Ability to work under direct supervision and maintain high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor radiation safety and complete compliance documentation; troubleshoot x-ray equipment and coordinate service calls.
• Act as scrub, monitor/recorder, and x-ray technician for CVL procedures; prepare patients for invasive procedures.
• Assist with hemodynamic testing and record arterial/venous activity; obtain hemostasis post-procedure.
• Recognize cardiac arrhythmias and hemodynamic changes; alert team during procedures.
• On-call with 30-minute on-site response; restock supplies and assist with patient transport.

Education

ARRT Radiologic Technologist Certification

Oregon/Washington Radiologic License

Cardiac Electrophysiology Certification (within 12 months)

Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification (within 12 months)

ARRT Cardiac Interventional Radiography Certification (within 12 months)

ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification (within 12 months)

NIH Stroke Scale Certification (within 6 months)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (within 2 months)

Basic Life Support (BLS) (within 1 month)
