Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Overland Park Regional Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse Cath Lab Float to join our Cardiology team. Under the Cardiology Manager, you will coordinate and provide patient care, administer medications, monitor vital signs and EKG, and document nursing records.

You will also participate in data collection for outcomes and performance improvement. You must support on-call requirements with a rapid response and collaborate across campuses including Overland Park Regional

Qualifications

Graduate of nursing school; Bachelor’s preferred.
Current Kansas nursing license; BLS on hire; ACLS within 6 months.
Minimum 1 year cardiology nursing experience; CCU/critical care preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and team skills; basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and provide patient care in the Cardiology Department.
Administer medications and monitor vital signs and EKG.
Document nursing records and coordinate patient teaching.
Perform CPR and participate in in-service education.
Collect data for database, outcomes analysis and performance improvement.
Support on-call requirements with a <30 minute response time.
Care at Overland Park Regional Medical Center and Menorah Medical Center as assigned.
