Job summary

HCA HealthONE Swedish is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse to join our 24/7 Cath Lab team. You will perform routine care and maintenance of radiological equipment, ensure quality patient care, and support invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-procedure preparation, patient education, on-call readiness, and collaboration with physicians and the care team to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Colorado Registered Nurse License with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification.
• 2-3 years of experience in a specialty unit (Critical Care, ED, PACU, or Radiology) preferred.
• Proficiency in cardiology nursing procedures and skills, including cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic, and rhythm interpretation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine care and maintenance of radiological equipment, and ensure quality patient care during invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients to help alleviate anxiety.
• Handle emergency situations during high-risk procedures and maintain discretion and confidentiality.
• Interact with physicians during procedures and assist with data recording and interpretation.
• Manage pre-procedure patient preparation and post-procedure recovery and outpatient instructions.
