Job summary

UF Health in Saint Petersburg, FL seeks a Cath Lab CVT to monitor diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures and support as a scrub assistant. The role requires a minimum of five years’ experience and RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months of hire, with BLS-ACLS credentials preferred.

Licensure or state credentials may be required; reading, writing, speaking English fluently is essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist in diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization procedures.
• Provide scrub assistance and support for cath lab procedures.
• Ensure safe patient care in the cath lab and follow clinical protocols.

Job description

Overview: The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant.

Qualifications

Education: -

Associate‘s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology

OR Radiologic Technology

OR Respiratory Therapy

In Lieu of education requirements

a minimum of five (5) years experience.

AND Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

OR - Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
• OR - FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
• OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)
• BLS - ACLS
• Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
