UF Health’s Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technician role involves monitoring diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety, and acting as a scrub assistant under the director/charge person.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent Radiologic/Respiratory credentials, plus relevant licensure and certifications.

Competenze

• A minimum of five years experience in lieu of education
• RCIS certification required within 12 months of hire
• RCES certification required within 12 months of hire (if no degree in applicable fields)
• BLS/ACLS training

• Monitor diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures including coronary and peripheral catheterization
• Ensure safe patient care
• Work as scrub assistant under the direction of the director/charge person

Overview: The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant.

Qualifications

Education: -

Associate‘s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology

OR Radiologic Technology

OR Respiratory Therapy

In Lieu of education requirements

a minimum of five (5) years experience.

AND Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

OR - Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
• OR - FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
• OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)
• BLS - ACLS
• Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
