Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center in Midlothian, TX, seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision. You will assist with monitor tech duties, scrubbing, circulating, and imaging equipment operation during procedures.

Candidates should hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in a science field or equivalent healthcare experience, plus current ACLS and RCIS (within six months). Strong interventional radiology exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• RCIS certification within six months of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS when applicable.
• Cath or Interventional Radiology experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assist physician as monitor tech during cath lab procedures and operate physiologic recorder.
• Assist with procedures as scrub tech and operate imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assist as circulator by monitoring patient status and handing supplies.
• Transport patients to/from department and maintain cath lab readiness.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medications, dosages, and procedure techniques.
• Order supplies for cath lab and manage inventory; ensure post procedure safety and hemostasis.
• Prepare lab and patient for procedures, including sterile technique and pulse marking.
