Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lakeway seeks a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to assist physicians during cath lab and electrophysiology procedures. The role prepares rooms, maintains equipment, monitors patients, and contributes to quality initiatives in a magnet-recognized department.

Requirements include RCIS or ARRT certification with on-call availability; training for Rad Techs transitioning into the Cath Lab is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related field.
• Less than 1 year of experience or 2 years of related cardiovascular lab experience.
• Must be available for On Call per facility/department policy.
• Certification/licensing knowledge of invasive cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations and device implantations.
• Follows radiation safety regulations for patients, self, and staff.
• Performs pre- and post-procedure patient care and monitoring.
• Monitors ECG, pressures, and impedance; assists with RF/Cryo ablation and 3D mapping.
• Maintains sterile fields, inventories supplies, and coordinates resources.
• Transports patients to and from procedural area and ensures patient comfort.
