CommonSpirit Health's Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, CA seeks a Cath Imaging Technologist to support cardiovascular and interventional procedures. You will prepare and operate imaging equipment, capture detailed images, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely diagnoses and treatments.

The role requires a strong radiologic tech foundation, excellent communication, and meticulous attention to detail, with ongoing learning to stay current on best practices and technology

Competenze

• Cardiac Catherization/Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
• CA radiography licensure required at hire.
• CPR (AHA) certification required at hire.
• Fluoroscopy radiology tech licensure in CA at hire.
• ARRT registration required at hire.
• Cardiac invasive and diagnostic certifications preferred.

Mansioni

• Prepare and operate imaging equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist physician with patient positioning and equipment adjustments.
• Set up and operate Intra Aortic Balloon Pump and IVUS equipment.
• Maintain proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and hemodynamic waveforms.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cath Imaging Technologist, you will apply your advanced training in cardiovascular, interventional, and specialized procedures to support the highest standards of patient care. Working under the general direction of the Nurse Director, you will handle the technical aspects of various diagnostic and interventional processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout each procedure.

Every day, you will prepare and operate imaging equipment, capture detailed images, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely, effective diagnoses and treatments. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing care quality, improving patient outcomes, and maintaining compliance with necessary guidelines and safety protocols.

To be successful in your role, you will bring a strong foundation in radiologic technology, combined with excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. By staying current on best practices and technology advances, you will help our team provide the highest level of cardiovascular and interventional care, positively impacting the overall patient experience.

• Technical Proficiency
• Assist the physician with positioning of the patient and adjustment of equipment.
• Knowledge of the proper set up and operation of the Intra Aortic Balloon Pump and Intravascular Ultrasound Equipment (IVUS).
• Maintains proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation. Identifies dysrhythmias and hemodynamic waveforms correctly.
• Recognizes abnormal & adverse cardiopulmonary and peripheral vascular symptoms and takes appropriate action.
• Possesses and demonstrates in depth knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral anatomy & physiology, and interventions.

• High School Graduate Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications
• A minimum of one year Cardiac Catherization Technologist or Interventional Radiology , upon hire or
• High School GED, upon hire
• Medical Radiographer: CA, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire and
• Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA, upon hire and
