Qualifications

• RCIS certification required.
• Experience in cardiac catheterization lab; knowledge of rhythms and hemodynamics.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and vessels under physician guidance.
• Prepare patients and operate radiologic equipment in the cath lab.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety and protocol adherence.
• Recognize emergencies and respond per protocol.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life‑saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.

To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

• Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
• Recognizes emergency situations (including life threatening arrhythmias) and responds effectively and appropriately.
• Notifies the RN/Physician with rhythm changes in a proactive approach.
• Validates clinical alarms.
• Anticipates patient/unit needs during emergency/code situations without requiring direction. Safely operates and maintains unit equipment.

Job Requirements

Required

• Registerd Certified Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
• Cardiac catheterization laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of cardiac rhythms, and cardiac hemodynamics.
• Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Preferred

• Radiology Technician with current x-ray and fluro license.
