Job summary

Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is seeking a part-time warehouse/operations helper in Norfolk, VA. You will organize and stage supplies, load trucks, and coordinate with service and sales teams to keep events running smoothly.

Ideal candidates are energetic, resourceful, detail-oriented, and available weekends. Some warehouse experience and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are preferred; driver license and safe driving record required.

Qualifications

• Warehouse or similar experience preferred.
• Previous catering, event, or hospitality background a plus.
• Knowledge of catering terminology a plus.
• Able to frequently bend, stoop and lift (up to 50lbs).
• Experience using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Available weekends.

Responsibilities

• Organize and stage supplies and equipment for catering events.
• Load box trucks and vans with staged supplies, ensuring that the correct items are loaded and properly secured.
• Communicate with the service and sales departments on supply issues and coordinate substitutions.
• Confirm that returning items from events are clean and in good working order and return them to the warehouse.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse, ensuring that equipment is protected and stored properly.
• Be the go-to for miscellaneous needs such as picking up linens at the dry cleaners, filling up gas in trucks, picking up last minute supplies at the grocery store, or even making emergency supply runs to events.
• On occasion, deliver simple catering orders to a location, which sometimes requires minor event setup.

What You Bring To The Table
